AGS Hosted Congressional Forum on Illegal Wildlife Trade

The American Geographical Society (AGS) and The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) hosted a Congressional Forum “Criminal Nature: The Global Security Implications of Illegal Wildlife Trade” at the U.S Capitol Visitor Center on March 8, 2016.  The forum was sponsored by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and was extremely successful in bringing together groups from the public, private and NGO sectors to share best practice methods in combating both the illicit wildlife trade and terrorism and the linkages between them.
