Eddie Pickle

Eddie Pickle is Senior Vice President, Public Sector for Crunchy Data Solutions, the leader in Postgres and PostGIS technologies. Previously he was a Senior Director at Maxar, leading programs at the forefront of automation for object detection, feature extraction, track analytics and more. Prior to Maxar, Eddie was the founding CEO of Boundless, and led its 2013 spinout from non-profit to private company. A human geographer by training, he has been a leader in both the geodemographics revolution of the 1980’s and 1990’s, and the geospatial web services explosion of the past two decades. He has served as a site location specialist, market segmentation analyst, sales and consulting leader, critical infrastructure visualization expert, and senior executive, and has worked at both leading international software and data companies. Eddie is a founder of the FedGeoDay and FOSS4G North America conferences. Previous to his service at Boundless, he was one of the founders of geo web services pioneer IONIC Enterprise and served as its Chief Operating Officer until its purchase by ERDAS in 2007. Prior to that, Eddie was Executive Vice President at Claritas and Managing Director of IXI Corporation (now part of Equifax). Eddie holds a Masters degree in Geography from UCLA, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow, and a BA in Geography from the University of Tennessee.
