Kenneth Jordan

Dr. Jordan is a Professor of Geography in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Vice Chair Faculty Senate at Savannah State University (SSU). Prior to joining the faculty at SSU in 1989, Professor Jordan held faculty appointments at Prairie View A&M, Tennessee State University, Norfolk State University, and Old Dominion University. During his tenure at SSU, he served as Associate Director of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at Georgia Southern University and the Director of the MPA program at SSU. In addition to geography, Professor Jordan has a background in mathematics and statistics. He has worked as a statistician and data analyst for the U.S. Department of Education in New York City, U.S. Bureau of the Census in New York City and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Savannah, Georgia. While completing his doctoral program he was employed as a financial analysis for Riverside County, California. Dr. Jordan is an Ordained Elder in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (C.M.E).
