Perry Massey

Dr. Massey was a Professor of Geography and the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Fayetteville State University (FSU) until his retirement in 2020. Prior to joining the faculty and administration of FSU, Professor Massey was a member of the faculty at Grambling State University and Virginia State University where he served as the Department Chair of History and International Studies. He was the Academic Affairs Coordinator on the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. During his tenure at FSU, Dr. Massey served as the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Special Assistant to the Chancellor and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Athletic Director. In 2016 he was selected as one of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division II Faculty Athletics Fellows.
