AGS Geography Teacher Fellows

 AGS GEOGRAPHY TEACHER FELLOWS

Every year, we invite Teacher Fellows to attend the annual Geography 2050 Symposium at Columbia University in New York. Fellows are APHG teachers from across the country who have the opportunity to convene with thought leaders from academia, government, industry, and the social sector who gather to discuss the major forces that will shape our planet’s future.

The Melamid Teacher Fellow Workshop is a series of special sessions specifically offered to the Teacher Fellows to help them explore ways to transfer the Symposium content to a classroom setting. The Workshop is funded by an endowment generously given by Mrs. Ilse Melamid, a long-time supporter of AGS will provide for future workshops for APHG teachers in tandem with the annual fall symposium.

We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of Teacher Fellows to the 2023 Fall Symposium, Geography 2050: The Changing Map of Risk, Hazards, & Finance at Columbia University in New York City on November 16 & 17, 2023! Click below to apply!
