PATRONS
The American Geographical Society of New York is a not-for-profit organization. Our success and longevity in preserving the role of geography in American society are made possible only by donations and grants from our patrons. All contributions made to AGS are greatly appreciated, and allow the society to continue to carry on a more than a century old tradition of exploration, enhancing geo-literacy, and being at the nexus of cooperation and engagement between academia, government, and business. The Galileo Circle, Humboldt Club, and Bowman donation levels are groups of special friends of the American Geographical Society. Those in these Circles play an important role in the work of AGS and they help to ensure the strength of the Society. People donating at these levels enjoy all the privileges given to AGS Fellows and in addition, they are invited to meet privately with the AGS Council and staff. Over the years, these special members have been instrumental in making it possible for us to carry out the work of AGS. They provide to us not only financial support but also expertise and advice that help guide our activities. To donate at these levels, contact us at ags@americangeo.org or 917.745.8354.
If you are considering a planned gift, either an “After Lifetime Gift” or a “Concurrent Gift”, such a Charitable gift annuity, please contact Chief Executive Officer, Dr. John Konarski III at jkonarski@americangeo.org for more information.
