Peter Rabley

Peter Rabley has spent the last thirty years as a geographer, investor, business operator and technologist looking for ways to improve our understanding, measurement and use of the earth and its resources. He is responsible for setting the strategy for the PLACE organization and managing the Omidyar Network Property Rights legacy investment portfolio.

Prior to creating PLACE, Peter was a venture partner at leading impact investing firm Omidyar Network, where he led its global Property Rights initiative, and was responsible for building and managing its portfolio. In addition to his private equity, venture capital and systems change experience, Peter brings 30+ years of know how acquired from a successful career building and scaling enterprise software companies globally.
Peter was the founder and CEO of International Land Systems, an enterprise software firm that provided property taxation, registration and mapping solutions to local governments. Subsequent to its acquisition by Thomson Reuters, he became Vice President for Global Business Development and Strategy at Thomson Reuters.

Peter serves on the boards of Radiant Earth, Microbuild, Suyo, and Meridia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce. Peter graduated from the University of Miami with B.A. in Geography and Economics, and an M.A. in Geography.
